The Role:
The Project is coordinating the integrated long term solutions to reinstate and maintain water injection in the Frade field including produced water handling issues and the expansion of the field. This is a high profile project in Early Phase 2.

The original Major Capital Project was the first step in building a deepwater Brazil business and has established production operations infrastructure and organization capability. Our improved understanding of the Frade reservoirs has allow use to identify additional opportunities beyond the original scope of the Frade MCP as well as exploration prospects within the lease boundaries. The project team is investigating the requirements for water treatment and injection and changes to the FPSO and subsea facilities design to handle the current requirements for water injection and facilities expansion. Determining the sequence and development execution of any identified water handling equipment is critical to expansion opportunities and will allow the full utilization of the existing facilities capacity, thereby maximizing value of the asset.

• Lead and direct the Phase 2 and 3 engineering studies
• Direct the Contractor's subsea engineering and execution efforts for concept selection for subsea installation and construction activities in the field.
• Provide input to overall project management reporting and co-ordinate with the AIR Engineer on close out of subsea related risks and interfaces.
Be responsible for the planning, design, specification development and application, procurement and contract strategy development for the subsea facilities for the full field project through Phases 2, 3 & 4.
• Assure that the selected subsea concept is safe, operable, maintainable, cost-effective, constructible, reliable and meets the design intent of the project.
• Provide leadership on design, constructability, operability and reliability, and liaise closely with multifunctional asset team.
• Exhibit leadership of Company Way Behaviors, implement CSOC principles, and oversee and implement CPDEP processes.
• Ensure that the design reflects company safety and reliability standards.
• Integrate CVX engineering standards within the existing field specifications.
• Achieve strong collaboration with Frade Operations, BU SME''s and ETC/PRC.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10+ years project design experience
Demonstrated offshore engineering and concept selection major capital project experience. Appropriate use of CPDEP and the application of VIP's. Demonstrated ability to manage interfaces and coordinate with operations and to manage contractor performance. Experience of brownfield projects and the integration of new facilities.
Experience developing and evaluating engineering solutions and deliverables needed for conceptual (phase 2), front end and detailed design (Phase 3) as well as planning Ph 4 is strongly desired.
Experience in the design, installation, hook-up, commissioning, operation of subsea systems.
Demonstrated experience with the integration and interfacing between the various parts of the subsea system
