The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an individual to provide Operations Support to the current planned and future subsea developments. The role will mainly reside in St. John’s office but travel to worldwide locations is required for Factory Acceptance Testing, HAZOPS’s and other reasons.
Significant interface with the different EPC contractors will be required.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Provide Operational input into the design, construction and installation of subsea equipment.
• Provide technical writing capabilities to develop Operations based documentation.
• Develop training modules and Competency Assessments for subsea equipment.
• Participate in equipment strategies reviews and help assign the maintenance programs for all subsea equipment.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPS and PHA’s.
• Participate in constructability reviews, construction/installation risk assessments, and other construction related reviews.
• The position will require domestic and foreign travel and potentially some extended project site visits both onshore and offshore especially during project fabrication, installation, commissioning and start-up

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Petroleum Engineering Technology or equivalent education
• 15 years experience in oil and gas
• 5 years experience in subsea production equipment
• 5 years experience in technical writing
• Functional Knowledge of offshore operations
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft desk applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Able to rotate offshore on a 3 week on 3 week off rotation supporting startup activities.
• Foreign Travel Passport, with any restrictions identified.
