The Company:
A major, international oil and gas company

The Role:
The role typically starts in the engineering contractors office, and subsequently moves to site for construction, commissioning and start-up. The postholder will transfer to the production division after start-up.


Develop the operations and maintenance strategies required for operating phase, including estimated plant availability and operating costs;
Assist in evaluation of trade-off decisions and influence development of the engineering design;
Deliver major parts of the operational readiness plan;
Participate in the recruitment, training and competency assessment of the operations team;
Establish operational systems to control, manage and optimise performance of the subsea and pipelines production system, once operational
Subsea operational focal point / asset engineer
Ensure all subsea and pipeline related activities are included within hub, and subsea and pipelines plans.
Monitoring uptime (availability) of subsea and pipelines facilities.
Subsea and pipeline cost management for specified assets.
Subsea and pipeline activity management for specified assets.
Delivery of a Subsea Integrity Management System (SIMS) and a Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS)
Support, assurance and input to renewals and 3rd party projects. Ensuring all subsea and pipeline related activities are included within asset planning process.
Ensure all onshore support activates are on appropriate plans (and take ownership of subsea content or readiness plans prior to first oil).
Integrity and uptime of subsea/pipelines facilities.
Support commissioning and handover of subsea equipment to the operations team and support the start-up process.
Ensure all subsea support systems and processes are in place prior to start up (per readiness plan).
Identification, definition, preparation and execution of all subsea work associated with the new subsea operation
