The Role:
• Manage and deliver the Diving Operations scope of work for the project to ensure delivery promises are achieved by developing installation requirements and implementing agreed installation methods in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsible for managing the Diving-based operation and installation support activities for connecting and testing diver installed equipment and associated subsea structures.
• Manage the development of the equipment and tooling requirements in conjunction with the design contractor to support all diving-based installation activities.
• Review design contractor technical studies to select optimum diving equipment/tooling and installation methods.
• Participate in developing the installation schedule for all diving based installation activities, including identifying schedule requirements for scope of diving equipment supply covering qualification, manufacturing, testing and delivery to support project schedule.
• Assess intervention concepts proposed by the design contractor and make timely recommendations to the company based on such assessments.
• In conjunction with the design contractor, develop FAT, SIT and SRT work scope for all diving equipment and tooling.
• Manage the diving activity interface with the Installation Team, design contractor and equipment suppliers.
• Consider subsea intervention interfaces in terms of the ability to install and the ability to maintain during the life of the field.
• Disseminate relevant lessons learned from other Company entities for their application in the Caspian region.
• Ensure compliance with project approved ETP’s or agreed variations.
• HSE: Ensure contractor management compliance with project objectives and Company expectations.
• Participate in diving-related risk assessment activities.
• Ensure the design contractor complies with the company’s environmental policies and objectives in all activities.
• Work with the design contractor in pursuit of a regional intervention philosophy.
• Represent the company at Contractor premises, sites and on vessels as necessary.
• Develop effective and constructive relationships with contractor representatives.
• Employ effective communication skills to represent the Company both internally and externally at all levels.
• Consider marine operational impact issues with heavy lift barges, construction/ROV vessels and DSV in connection with all required diving activities.
• Review and comment on procedures relating to all diving activities.
• Ensure intervention issues are progressed within the company through to satisfactory conclusion.
• Effectively employ company resources, expertise and advice in pursuit of intervention objectives.

Activities will include:

• Diving philosophy reviews
• Document reviews
• Risk assessments
• Design reviews
• Clash studies

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• At least 10 years diving related subsea engineering & installation experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Good knowledge of subsea diver installation technology.
• Awareness of, and familiarity with, International Codes, Standards, Industry Guidelines and Practices related to Marine Installation and diving activities.
• Proven capability in assessing and evaluating risks and opportunities.
• Knowledge of QHS&E Management Systems.
• Strong presentation skills and software knowledge/competence.
• Good interpersonal skills in a multi-discipline, multi culture environment
