Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Long-term contract position, includes travel to USA.
Job Title: Subsea Project Engineer
Business Unit/Team: Development Projects & Engineering
Location: London, UK/Europe/USA & Ghana
Reports To: Subsea Delivery Manager

Interacts With:
• Subsea Delivery Team (incl. SPS, URF and Umbilicals)
• Group Project & Subsea Engineering Team
• Subsea Quality Management Team
• Asset/Operations Team (Ghana)
• Well Engineering Team
• EHS Management
Subsea Contractors
• Engineering Service Provider
• Quality Assurance Service Provider

Supervises/Directs:
Small subsea delivery team (typically including Company/Eng Services Provider project/discipline engineers and 3rd party/QC inspectors)

Job Purpose:
• The Subsea Project Engineer will support the delivery of the subsea hardware including planning, development and execution
• Interface management typically with the SPS, URF, Umbilicals, Wells and FPSO delivery/operation teams as appropriate.
• This role will work within the Subsea Delivery Team and maintain a close interface with the Asset and operations team to ensure a reliable and fully integrated solution

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:
• Subsea hardware planning, design and execution activities
• Contractor management and progress reporting
• Risk Management and EHS activities to ALARP standards
• Ensures that all subsea engineering activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations
• Provides offshore supervision for subsea activities
• Responsible for interface management
• Responsible for the oversight of subsea hardware specification and services requirements in accordance with company procedures
• Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Masters/Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline

Experience as a subsea hardware engineer, preferably gained with operating companies and a extensive total subsea hardware/systems experience.
• Extensive knowledge of subsea hardware/systems and associated installation procedures
• Demonstrated lead technical and delivery management experience with deepwater developments
• Capability to lead a small team of up to 5 people
• Awareness and sensitivity to multinational exposure and cultures
