The Role:
The candidate will support the Subsea Structures & Manifolds leader in all technical aspects of the project with particular attention to the structural and piping design and installation.

• Assist the package leader for the Subsea Structures & Manifolds technical aspects of the project with particular attention to the structural and piping design and installation, from detailed engineering to handover, and accepts responsibility for actions.
• Demonstrate commitment to SHE through Personal Safety Performance Contract
• Pro-actively manage the contract Scope of Work
• Pro-actively liaise with Technology, Vendors, Operations, Contractor, Sub-Contractors, and certifying agency teams on all aspects of the project
• Prepare and present Technical dossiers
• Control and approve, when appropriate, the specifications, requisitions, design procedures, layouts, arrangements and cause & effect charts
• Coordinate Marine Warranty Surveyor activities associated with the Coordinate mobilisation and offshore installation of Subsea Structures & Manifolds
• Assist with the preparation of the pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up activities
• Obtain validation of the design.
• Assist with preparation of authorities applications for authorisations and consents
• Positively represent the Company at Supplier premises, sites and on vessels if appropriate, during offshore construction, as and when required
• Develop effective and constructive relationships with Supplier representatives in a manner that enables a high level of value to be obtained
• Report and inform of any potential problems in a pro-active manner
• Continually seek learning opportunities to further their technical capability and openly share knowledge with other team members
• Accept delegation of authority from the Subsea Structures & Manifolds Package Leader
• Proactively manage the budget and progress schedule of the work package

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in an appropriate technical discipline
• Significant project management experience (planning, cost control, contracting)
• Strong knowledge of System design, testing, installation and operation, with offshore experience gained in the North Sea
• Ability to represent the Company both internally and externally at a senior level


Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of Company, Group and statutory policies and procedures in relation to engineering, technology and project management
• Professional experience : 5-10 years (Subsea Structures & Manifold design and installation plus operator experience preferred)

Specific aspects of knowledge:
* Subsea design codes & standards
* Marine operations using Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV)
* Techniques for managing multiple third party interfaces to a project
* Government regulations for notifications, authorisations, permitting and consents required for offshore operations
