The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
This role will be a member of a Perth based multifunctional project team responsible for subsea equipment and pipelines procurement, construction and installation activities associated with the Wheatstone Upstream development.

This position has responsibility for the management, coordination and technical assurance of all activities associated with the fabrication, testing and load out of trunkline, flowline and SSIV structures and subsea tie-in spools to be performed by the installation contractors. The structures consist of SSIVs, PLET’s, subsea heads, inline tees, active pipe supports, protection structures, crossing support structures and associated all sea fastenings.

Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the installation Contractor’s construction / fabrication of the subsea structures and tie-in spools with a particular focus on interfacing with Company’s subsea equipment vendors.
• Oversee subcontracting, fabrication, testing and load out of all structures.
• Liaise with the subsea equipment vendors and the procurement team to ensure that Company provided Materials are suitable for installation and are delivered in a timely manner.
• Oversee development and risk assessment of all structure loadout and transport procedures.
• Day to day coordination with the Flowline and Trunkline engineering.
• Ensure construction and fabrication methodologies meet project technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, and project objectives of operability, maintainability, reliability, and life cycle cost.
• Support design team in the development of fit-for-purpose structures that facilitate optimised installation and intervention activities.
• Assist in monitoring the budget and schedule and effectively track changes to the installation contracts.
• Provide support during the Subsea and pipeline technical assurance review process.
• Ensure the delivery of quality fabrication / construction documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule.
• Assist in ensuring effective project closeout including documentation at end of construction.

The position will require the individual to visit fabrication yards and attend offshore installation activities for the structure installation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognised Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline
• Extensive experience in structure / fabrication and management for the oil & gas industry, including both Contractor and Operator roles.
• In depth knowledge of all aspects relating to the fabrication and construction of subsea structures including structural assembly welding, NDT and QA/QC.
• Knowledge of the DnV OS-F101 code.
• Specific experience in managing fabrication works including pipe fabrication within Australia and SE Asia.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, problem solving skills, ability to achieve milestones, ability to manage conflict and work collaboratively.
• Visible demonstration of commitment to development and maintenance of a comprehensive HSE culture.
• Formal HSE management training preferred.
