The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
Our client is seeking a T&I Construction Superintendent to work on a 6/2 rotation.

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the T&I Vessel Management Team for the Derrick Barge work scope, which includes subsea structure installation, including Xmas trees, jackets installation and topsides installation. The key accountabilities are;

• Execution of the vessel pre-start-up review process,
• Developing, implementing and maintaining the Company team and the control processes necessary for the safe execution of the work
• Managing the safe execution of the agreed work program


Roles & Responsibilities

General:
• Play a leading role in the promotion of an excellent HSE culture, improve awareness and promoting the Project goals of ‘no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment’
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the overall Project schedule and a detailed understanding of the costs, actively manage the budget and track and communicate all potential cost and schedule variations
• Responsible for ensuring the installation contractor delivers a competent vessel management organisation and a high standard of resources to successfully execute the work
• To systematically measure, track and report the installation Contractors Self verification program, identifying trends, and intervening when necessary to execute the oversight activities identified in the Company HSE plan
• Ensure the Contractor performs incident investigations for any HSE incidents performing an appropriate level of root cause analyses, developing effective actions and managing to closure.
• Maintain awareness and promote conformance to Company expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the Transport and Installation Team and the Contractors.

Offshore Construction Management:
• Manage the execution of the Derrick Barge work scope including, subsea structure installation (including Xmas trees), jackets installation and topsides installation.
• Executing the vessel pre-start-up review process, track and report progress, identify trends, highlighting where interventions are necessary and ensuring continuous review
• Ensure the Barge is fully equipped, and that personnel, procedures, risk assessments and materials and equipment are available in a timeframe which supports the schedule.
• Lead by providing direction, and support to the vessel team and promote an effective and collaborative working environment with a ‘One Team’ approach. Develop, implement and maintain an effective rotation for the Company CVR’s to deliver ‘continuous presence’ of required personnel both onshore and offshore.
• Ensure that the vessel owner maintains the correct certification for Class, IMCA rules Company Group Marine Assurance Standards.
• Develop implement and maintain the control processes required to effectively manage the Work
• Participate in Level 1 risk assessments with Contractor, Manage the level 2 and 3 (TRA and TBT) risk assessment process, ensuring that action items are closed out prior to commencing any offshore operations. Systematically identify issues which may impact the program, and highlight areas where intervention is required
• Liaise with key external stakeholders & installation contractor to optimize the utilization of the Barge
• Ensure lessons learned are systematically captured and communicated within Project T&I team and Contractors captured and shared with the Company community.
• Keep the Project Manager T&I informed of the key issues within the area of responsibility.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 20 years’ experience of general offshore construction and subsea installation
• Proven experience of construction vessel operations
• Proven capability of building and leading successful teams
• Experience with site management activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues
