The Role:
The Subsea Team Lead is accountable to provide and maintain Technical Management, Support, Integrity and Assurance to the Operations Directorate .


The Subsea Team Lead is responsible to ensure cross installation learning within their area and to provide discipline specific solutions and resolution of problems to enable safe and efficient production.

The Subsea Team Lead shall provide Technical Support & Assurance
• Champion a working culture based on respect for health, safety and environmental issues and maintenance of a high level of asset integrity
• Participate as member of the Subsea & Structures Team in delivering North Sea operations and project related performance targets
• Responsible for the coordination of the subsea team activities, participate in the coordination of the Subsea & Structures team activities
• Responsible for the coordination of human resources within subsea team including recruitment, succession planning, objective setting and performance appraisal
• Ensure that activities undertaken by subsea team are planned and executed with due consideration to personal safety, process safety and the environment
• Ensure that budgets are prepared for work tasks assigned and to undertake cost control for all tasks
• Ensure that technical development and innovation is evaluated and potentially implemented
• Ensure cooperation with relevant authorities and certification agencies and that requirements from such bodies are being complied with
• Provide or facilitate provision of standards, procedures and systems that ensure a high level of asset integrity and availability
• Encourage good, open communication within the Subsea & Structures Team, promoting a culture of involvement and participation and adherence to Maersk values
• Promote alignment between day-to-day objectives and company strategic aims

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognised Engineering Qualification, preferable with chartership
• Good understanding of offshore operations and project management
• Proven Technical Management Experience
• Good working knowledge of engineering disciplines, associated technical standards, processes and relevant legislation
• Ability to create positive relations to peers and stakeholders internally and externally.
