POSITION OVERVIEW

Working within a multi-disciplinary team and reporting directly to the Subsea Tree & Wellhead Engineering Superintendent during planning phase of the well. Responsible for planning, supervising and supporting the execution of drilling, tree installation, well completion, work over and intervention activities, whilst ensuring that they comply with all safety and technical standards and remaining within the planned timescale and budget.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: To deliver Wellhead installation, Tree installation and recovery, Completions, Work overs and Interventions on time and in budget with no harm personnel, asset or the environment Provide wellhead installation, tree installation and recovery completion, work over and Intervention costs to the Drilling Engineer for AFE’s and continue to estimate prediction. Thereafter, monitor costs through to end of job. Liaise with Well Services and Facilities teams throughout the well delivery process to ensure company objectives are met. Interface with the Well Service Engineer for all rig, completion, work over and intervention interfaces. Create a required equipment list for each well and liaise with purchasing, subcontractors and vendors to meet requirements. Identify equipment and manpower required to undertake the work programme and process necessary paperwork (contracts, regulatory applications and purchase orders) to make these available and ensure timely shipping offshore. Instruct offshore personnel and contractors with regard to their respective roles. Ensure that all safety considerations are highlighted and understood. Provide assistance to the cost engineer during invoice receipt/checking. Prepare input to presentations for management meetings. Communicate the operational needs of impending work within and the various vendors. Provide support to Production teams for scale squeeze operations. Ensure that all activities are properly documented and recorded in the approved wells data management system. Ensure that completion lessons learned are properly documented and recorded in the approved wells data management system and that the lessons learned are distributed to other departments. To champion the approved wells data management system and ensure data entry is correct. Write wellhead, tree installation/recovery completion work over programs with sufficient detail to minimise management of change, HSE exposure to personnel and ensure rig operations are efficient. Liaise with offshore supervisors in order to provide support in any areas required to ensure the successful and efficient completion of the operations.

Attend and contribute to well review and planning meetings. Maintain excellent relations with all service providers and customers. Monitor contractor performance and liaise with contractor as a minimum on a quarterly basis. Maintain well records including the approved Well Status Diagram. Work in compliance with the company’s Business Management System. To manage completion component make up and testing onshore to ensure fit for purpose. To manage all rental equipment requirements. Active participation, promotion and development of the Company Safety and Environment policies. To interface with Drilling Engineers throughout the well delivery process to ensure that Drilling and Completion programmes are compatible. To ensure that wells worked over and intervened on are returned to production as efficiently as possible. Lead well risk assessment for Completions/Work overs with Service Company and rig contractor personnel to prove Completion and Work over designs are operationally fit for purpose and efficient. To coordinate all “Complete the Well on Paper (CWOP)” activities prior to commencing operations. Perform a quality control check on the Daily report information. Preparation of SIMOPS procedures where appropriate. In conjunction with the Drilling Engineer ensure all Well Handover documents throughout operations are accurate. Ensure compliance with Management of Change procedures. Preparation of end of Well reports and ensuring timely closeout of vendor end of well reports and after action reviews etc. Lead the Tree installation and recovery, Completion and Work over peer reviews to satisfactory conclusion. Prepare Tree and Wellhead installation and recovery strategy. Make at least 2 visits offshore per year to audit the working practices of crews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience

Essential: Can demonstrate significant experience in Subsea Completions/Work overs/Interventions. Extensive knowledge of Well Service operations and experience is essential. Substantial experience in Completions and Interventions, some of which preferably with a major operator offshore as well as a service supervisor.
Desirable: Knowledge of WellCAT, Well plan and Prosper.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: Can evidence professional and personal ongoing development and/or learning Current offshore survival, medical and Mist certification is desirable. Can articulate learning and training experiences
Desirable: Qualified to Degree Level in Engineering or related science/technology fields.
