The Company:
Large international oil and gas operating company seeks an Umbilical Lead

The Role:
Technical Requirements and Responsibilities:

- Shall have expert level understanding of electrical and hydraulics
- Preferably have a subsea controls background
- Clear understanding of manufacturing process and Quality Control and Quality Assurance of subsea umbilical
- Implement global standards for Umbilical systems.
- Shall develop Concept design of umbilical based on functional requirements provided by client and project specifications and Request for Quotation package.
- Shall be able to guide conceptual design of dynamic umbilical and appurtenances and develop Qualification Procedures.
- Review and approve the design performed by a Third Party Contractor (including specifications, reports, calculation notes, analyses, drawings, datasheets, technical notes) of a deepwater Umbilical system and relevant ancillary equipment, ensuring that it meets project objectives, industry standards and best practice for safety, reliability and cost
- Interface with Subsea control System design
- Monitor the Third Party Contractor performance.
- Site Supervisor as Company Representative during Umbilical Manufacturing and perform daily Site inspection and witnessing of testing activities in accordance to approved ITP.
- Shall supervise testing activities, including ancillary equipment.
- Offshore Assistance during Umbilical Installation and Precommissioning activities onboard Installation Vessels and/or FPSO.
- Work proactively within project teams to meet the project targets.
- Stay abreast of new technology in the area of Umbilical systems and identify opportunities for advancement and deployment of key technology in projects.
- Lead the technical clarifications for all umbilical related matter during the tender phase and update the risers design documentation for the contract award.
- Identify any needs for third party reviews or expertise.
- Participate in various technical reviews such as Hazid, Hazop.
- Participate in the definition and attend FATs, Qualification tests and Site Integration Tests.
- Participate in studies of installation procedures.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications:

Degree from an accredited university, advanced degree preferred
10 years experience in design and project engineering of umbilicals
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
- Engineering degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
- A demonstrable commitment to HSE and Quality.
- Specialist Knowledge: Good knowledge of industry standards regarding Umbilicals. Good experience in Umbilical design, qualification, manufacturing, testing, inspection, installation and offshore test procedures. Knowledge of Umbilical topsides and subsea interfaces. Experience in reviewing and commenting Umbilical design and other related documentation (i.e. specifications, SoW, procedures, reports, drawings...).
- Good working knowledge of operational requirements and philosophies.
- Well developed relationship skills as you will have to work in a multicultural diverse environment.
- Competency in Dynamic Umbilical analysis software (i.e. Orcaflex Flexcom)
