The Role:
Project Description:
The objective of the Subsea Wellhead team within the Global Subsea Hardware organization is to supply safe, reliable and good quality subsea wellhead systems to CLIENT wells that are compliant with CLIENT and industry standards. This will rigorous management of suppliers. This will entail identifying gaps/issues and develop a plan for closing the gaps/issues between current technology and the technology and equipment required to deliver CLIENT’s subsea wells around the world.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will work as a key member of the Subsea Wellhead Systems team and will be responsible for several aspects of package delivery ie project management, cost management/tracking, schedule management, management of interfaces with other key project packages, package scope definition and change control, contractor management, and reporting.

This position will be required to work closely with the requisite Regional and Project Wells Teams to ensure that the equipment developed is fit for purpose and acceptable to the final end users. The position will also work with project teams to provide tracking of schedule, costs and physical progress.

The successful applicant will work to coordinate the development of the requisite statements of requirements for the subsea wellhead system to include the needs of the rig schedule and well design(s) as provided by the regional or project wells teams. The successful applicant will coordinate appropriate technical support from the GSH Lead Engineer(s) and Contractor Engineering teams to design, qualify, manufacture and deliver the required wellhead systems equipment.

This position will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of a demand forecast for CLIENT’s regional subsea wellhead usage including developing a forecast for installation dates, manufacturing delivery dates and required order placement dates.

This position will work closely with the subsea wellhead contractors to develop schedules that reflect a risk based delivery forecast based on the contractors engineering capacity, manufacturing capacity and priority of CLIENT’s work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years experience as a subsea engineer and/or project engineer
• B.S. Degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical)
• Familiar with API specs 6A (SPECIFICATION FOR WELLHEAD AND CHRISTMAS TREE EQUIPMENT *** ISO ADOPTION) and 17D (DESIGN AND OPERATION OF SUBSEA PRODUCTION SYSTEMS - SUBSEA WELLHEAD AND TREE EQUIPMENT)
• Work within the OMS (Operating Management System) requirements
• Ability to perform in a multi-functional team
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to lead personnel on a team
• Ability to work with new technology
• Ability to apply project management and facilitation skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Initiative and flexibility
• Collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Familiarity with risk management and technical assurance
• Knowledge of project work including subsea engineering design and qualification
• Experience with subsea wellhead equipment and subsea production equipment (including trees, connectors, casing hang

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• PE Degree or PMP Certification (Project Mgmt Professional)
• Knowledge of Subsea Wellhead structural and fatigue loading
• Knowledge of drilling practices and equipment
• Experience in projects/major modifications
• Operation of the equipment offshore
• Ability to lead quality control, quality assurance
• Basic training in metallurgy and welding
• Good Communication and Information & Technology skills
• Takes responsibilities for achieving challenging HSSE goals
• Willing to take lead when assurance challenges occur
• Build networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge
