The Role:
As a member of the Project management Team the job holder will manage the substructure scope through the SELECT, DEFINE and EXECUTE stages of the Project.

Key Accountabilities

•Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities in the Substructure Project Management Discipline, all staff are accountable for HSSE within their area of the business and are responsible for ensuring that their team adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours.

•Define Substructure project goals, objectives and critical success factors, ensuring that these align both with corporate goals and objectives and the project’s commercial strategy

•Participate in selection process for Jackdaw Substructure options and input to the Basis of Design for these elements in conjunction with the Engineering Manager

•Assist in the development and execution of substructure conceptual studies

•Develop contracting strategy for substructure scopes during SELECT & DEFINE

•Lead the preparation of documentation and the prequalification , tendering, evaluation and the negotiation processes for all substructure related contracts

•Interface with other members of the project team (engineering, commercial, sub-surface, wells and operations) and external parties including Host and Export Pipeline operators to ensure clarity in all scopes of work and agreement on project deliverables and the timing of these deliverables.

•Develop the SELECT, DEFINE and Project Execution Stage Plans for Substructure scopes and associated management system documentation in accordance with the Jackdaw Basis of Design Standards and Guidelines and obtain stakeholder approval of the plan.

•Demonstrate visible leadership and commitment to excellent HSSE performance, including: ensuring effective implementation of the Project HSSE strategy and Project HSSE plan for the areas of the project under his/her control and influence.

•Monitor Substructure contractor and supplier performance and act quickly on underperformance.

•Input to project reporting systems

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to first degree level, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline.

Verifiable record in the successful development and delivery of at least one hydrocarbon gas project involving a JV Partner.

Technical professional with a broad exposure to the E&P business based on a good working knowledge from opportunity evaluations and engineering/project management.

Experience in engineering and project management with substructure projects preferably in the UKCS offshore including greenfield and brownfield scopes and commissioning and startup activities.

Skilled in the scope and application of required assurance processes with mastery in the application of functional processes for projects.

Experience in a client/operator environment on projects in the Select, Define and Execute stages.

Knowledge of the safety, environmental and operational aspects of their work including writing project design bases and functional requirements during project early developmen

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Member of a relevant engineering institution (preferred).

Knowledge and experience of HP / HT projects and technologies is an advantage.

Good understanding of E&P policies and business principles, with sound awareness of the subsurface through to commercial sales.
