Our Client is an international O&G Operator with a particular focus on the Middle East region.

The Role:
Position Required Subsurface Planning Specialist
Reports to (Position) Subsurface Technical Team Leader

Job Description/Major Duties (general job functions, responsibilities, day-to-day tasks & activities)
The Subsurface Planning Specialist will be responsible about all planning activities for the Subsurface department. Including, managing development drilling program, work with other departments to ensure that wells are in service, run and analyze production forecast, coordinate reserves evaluations, and production forecasts. Coordinate key reports including budget book and business plan.

The Subsurface Planning Specialist responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Manage development drilling program/well count & mix/optimized short term drilling schedule to increase well delivery efficiency and achieve or exceed Mukhaizna well count and oil production.
• Work with Drilling, Facilities and Operations departments to ensure that all new wells are in service (production or injection) within the given targets.
• Support planning activities for the Mukhaizna Asset in Muscat, Oman.
• Run and analyze production forecast.
• Coordinate reserves evaluations, production forecasts, expense forecasts, AFE preparation, and capital requirements.
• Develop and maintain database and ensure data quality and entries.
• Coordinate key reports including work program and budget.
• Keep the integrated project plan updated and develops KPI’s associated with total project (schedule & cost).
• Significant responsibility for coordinating the preparation of presentation materials.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements (Education required, background, experience, skills)
• Bachelor degree.
• Minimum of 2 years and maximum of 7 years experience in planning activities for wells in Oil & Gas industry.
• Good use of planning/scheduling tools (Resource Scheduler, Primavera, and MS Project).
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) applications.
• Proficient in extracting, manipulating, correcting, and analyzing data.
• Effective team player with solid time management and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Good experience of OFM and LOWIS is an advantage.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with other professionals/management across a broad range of functions.
• Familiar with ArcGIS and SQL Programming.
