The Role:
Project Description:
Valemon is a HPHT gas-condensate field located 10 km west of Kvitebjørn. The reservoir is complex with expected reserves estimated to roughly 35 MSm3oe. Valemon is one of the largest non-developed fields on the Norwegian Shelf. The Valemon project passed DG1 in 2004, DG2 in 2009 and DG3 3Q 2010. Jacket installation and drill-start was performed in 2012 while topside installation and production-start is scheduled for 2014. The jacket/predrill module contracts are awarded to Heerema in Netherlands. Topside contract is awarded to EPC company in Sør Korea.
Pipeline will consist of several contracts and several locations in and outside of Norway.

Main Responsibilities:
Ensure that all construction activities related to Instrumentation and Telecommunication are planned, performed and documented in accordance with the project specifications.
Typical tasks:
• Monitor all IT construction activities with emphasise on quality, schedule and HSE
• Participate in inspection activities according to Inspection and Test plan (ITP) as required
• Supervise local inspectors in site team
• Monitor the receipt and storage of materials within the discipline and follow up to ensure the system for material traceability is working
• Participate in audits/verifications as required
• Monitor work progress against plans and schedules and highlight areas of concern and possible corrective actions
• Assist Contractor with discipline field engineering / construction details upon request.
• Interface with IT discipline at EPC Contractor
• Ensure that systems and equipment are protected and preserved throughout fabrication, installation & hook-up
• Review selected drawings and documents issued by EPC Contractor
• Ensure that fabrication documentation is issued by Contractor in accordance with requirements
• Ensure MC complete for handover to Commissioning
• Participate in area/system punch out and monitor the MC status in Procosys

Competence requirements:
• Bachelor degree within instrument with good overall knowledge of instrument / telecom discipline engineering and construction
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience from engineering and fabrication in offshore projects

Language requirements: English
Workplace: Onshore, South Korea
North Sea work experience: preferred

Special conditions:
Southeast Asia: 6-1-1 rotation** (6 weeks in Asia, 1 week in home office, 1 week off - not compensated)
Working hours is based on local/host company working hours; **For Asia, daily rate shall be based on normal working hours: 9 hours per day, and include overtime.
