The Role:
Supervisor – Instrument & Controls (Trains)

$100k base plus STI bonus of 15 to 26.25%


The role of the Supervisor, Instrument and Controls Trains is to supervise and perform the instrument and electronic maintenance activities associated with gas processing and the liquefaction units. This includes the troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance and repair of both sophisticated and elementary, instrumentation and control systems at the LNG facility. The Instrument Supervisor is responsible for adhering to technical and safety procedures, recognized standards and industry practices, and Company policies. The Instrument Supervisor will have approximately seven (7) direct reports to maintain the facility, perform required maintenance activities and provide for reliable operation that complies with all safety, environmental and industry requirements and to schedule the daily work. This position has weekend duty and call-out responsibilities.


25% - Supervises all instrumentation activities including but not limited to maintenance, modifications and new installations during normal operations and turnarounds.

25% - Solves operation, maintenance, and reliability problems as it relates to maintaining the plant equipment and control systems via repairs, modifications, or replacements of equipment.

25% - Works closely with Daily Work Planner to prepare for and develop a work schedule. This includes, planning, procurement, prioritization, of plant work (regulatory and non-regulatory) and backlog within the fiscal constraints of the plant budgets.

10% - Develops and supervises the instrument and controls preventive maintenance program.

05% - Interfaces with the other maintenance groups, operations and other departments as needed to insure safe, reliable, and cost effective maintenance and facility operation.

05% - Develops instrument technicians through the employee qualification program and skills development courses.

05% - Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience/Education:
•Minimum of a high school diploma
•Technical degree in instrumentation and/or controls, or nationally recognized standard, ISA is preferred

Required:
•Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electronic/instrumentation maintenance
•Experience in heavy industrial, petrochemical
•Supervisory experience

Preferred:
•Experience in liquid natural gas or natural gas processing
•Experience with cryogenic storage, specifically LNG

Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:
•Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
•Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and scheduling
•Good computer skills
