The Role:
As a working leader, this role is expected to supervise employees responsible for Accounts Payable and Treasury in ensuring timely payments, transactions are recorded accurately, and transactions are completed in line with company policy guidelines.

• Day-to-day supervision and development of two employees responsible for A/P, Time Writing and Treasury
• Ensure transactions are executed in line with company approved policies and standard operating procedures
• Ensures approval for authority (Delegation of Authority) in SAP system is up to date and accurate
• Review and approve weekly payments and provide guidance on AP coding
• Quarterly Vendor Statement review to SAP balances
• Month end accruals and reconciliation of statements
• Maintain departmental process documentation and signature logs
• Oversee Time Writing calculation and ensure amounts are billed accurately and on time
• Administer Time Writing to ensure timely approvals
• Weekly Cash forecasting to ensure adequate funding for the company's Houston business
• Adhoc reporting as needed
• Revenue Accounting a possible future responsibility

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• AP in an SAP environment is a must
• Minimum of 3 years’ related supervisory work experience in AP
• Accounting or related degree
• 10-15 years of overall accounting/financial experience
• Ability to handle multiple projects with rigid deadlines
• Microsoft Office Suite software proficiency required
• Self-starter with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to deal with all levels of personnel including management and legal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
• Quick learner with excellent work habits.
