The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role
To work closely with the Vendor Planning teams to evaluate the supply chain wherever under performing suppliers are identified, then, by means of physical intervention, implement agreed recovery and improvement strategies which assist the supplier in consistently meeting the Company build requirements.
Ensure that accurate supplier performance data is maintained within the group rating system and using this data, represent the department at the pre supplier nomination (LSC) forums.
Maintain accurate records/KPI for DPV/OPR performance across the business and provide analysis for improvement activities to Log Ops managers.

Scope of the Role
- Manage OPR/DPV weekly performance measures for both platforms.
- Identify opportunities for improvements from OPR/DPV records.
- Record supplier performance measures into group rating data base using agreed Logistics KPI’s.
- Represent logistics at LSC forum’s – use Logistics’ information to support / decline supplier nomination.

Qualifications & Experience
- ‘A’ level standard preferred though not essential.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain concepts and Vendor Planning principles and procedures.
- Proven record of problem solving within the supply base.
- The role requires experience and ability to problem solve and articulate improvement activities and a sound understanding of the supply chain concepts and practicalities.
- The ability to demonstrate that they posses the necessary skills to negotiate and communicate at all levels of the business organisation both internally and externally by using the appropriate medium to suite the situation.
- The ability to present summary statements/presentations to senior members of the company essential with an ability to understand the business cost implications of decisions.
