The Role:
To support the quality of pass through parts, sold to either our client or their Suppliers. Random checks of inbound and dispatch goods to ensure any part found to be or suspected to be, out of specification are contained and countermeasures are found from the manufacturing region. Supporting new model introductions, ensuring pass through parts from overseas regions comply with specification, design level and drawing.

Main Responsibilities: -
• Lead and control parts quality problem resolution, using activities such as: -
• Containment, including customer visit
• Inspection, either directly or with 3rd party inspection company
• Cause analysis, including 3rd party testing if required
• Establish countermeasures
• Ensure documentation required by customer is completed on time
• Performance review and monitoring of development using Total Quality Management (TQM)

• For new model and or new business introductions, track and analyse the following:
• Build Data
• Capacity Studies
• Capability Studies
• Part Quality reporting
• Design change tracking

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have:
• Volume manufacturing experience
• Experience of Quality Assurance with suppliers
• Experience in identifying part quality concerns
• Ability to analyse data and recommend solutions
• Knowledge of BOM and parts structures
• Ability to check and verify parts against drawings
• Experience in the use of CAD for drawing analysis
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to travel without restriction

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of supply development
• Experience in the use of Catia v5
