The Company:
Our Client is a Global Leading EPIC/EPC Contractor in the Oil & Gas industry. They are currently experiencing rapid growth and development on projects in many locations. Due to this they have an ever growing need for the best Engineers available.

The Role:
The job holder is responsible for:

• Assisting the procurement section with the verification and approval of the Vendor List according to the contract strategy and the procurement plan;
• Assisting Local Vendor Qualification & Development in Iraq, including market intelligence activities.
• Managing the communications channel concerning Vendor Qualification with the Company, other Companies within the Group, and with the Company’s Iraq Partners;
• Managing, updating and maintaining the Product and Services Classification List;
• Being member of the Vendor Qualification Team;
• Updating the Vendor Qualification Capability Profile through periodic analysis of Vendor’s re-evaluation and feedback reports;
• Managing external contractors assisting in the Vendor Qualification Process;
• Developing Iraq local content.

HSE Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate a positive and pro-active commitment to HSE through the personal application of safety critical behaviors;
• Compliance with Republic of Iraq Statutory HSE Regulations, Codes and Standards;
• Applying Iraq’s HSE Policies & Management System Requirements;
• Supporting/ Participating in Emergency Drills and Exercises as required;
Reporting all Accidents/ Incidents and Unsafe Acts/ Conditions in a timely manner.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering Technical degree
• Experience in Quality Management Systems;
• Experience in Vendor Management and Assessment;
• Experience in team working;
• Good organisational skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English;
• Knowledge and experience of Oil and Gas Industry (Market & Business)
• Knowledge of ISO Standards related to HSE&Q (ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 series);
• Knowledge of Audit Criteria and relevant tools;
• Full competency with MS Office;
• Knowledge of communication processes and relevant tools.
