The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

To support supplier & part Quality activities in order to maintain production flow without risk. To actively pursue performance improvement of the supplier base and to ensure supplier participation in the recovery and minimisation of costs associated with non-conformance.

Scope of the Role

- Supplied part Quality concern analysis & resolution.
- Supplier contact & coordination for on site activities.
- Supplier recharge system for non-compliance.
- Supplier development & improvement.
- Reporting of activities undertaken.

Qualifications and Experience

- Relevant Engineering qualification, HNC or higher.
- Associate membership of the IQA is desirable.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Quality tools including use of statistical techniques and analysis (SPC, Capability studies etc), 8D, Pareto Analysis, Kaizen, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA – design and process), Fault Tree Analysis etc.
- Product Knowledge, preferably in Metals, Chemical (rubber / plastics etc.) or Electrical commodities are required.
- Knowledge of group processes for parts sampling, approval, returns & Task Force operations.
- Previous experience required, knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Ability to read & understand engineering/technical drawings & specifications.
- Supplied part Quality concern analysis and resolution.

- Supplier recharge system for non-compliance.
- Supplier development and improvement.
- Reporting of activities undertaken.
