The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main purpose of job: To support supplier & part Quality Planning activities for the successful launch of new product introductions and to actively pursue performance improvement of the supplier base.

Position is organisation: Working as part of a team in SQM department within Quality. Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer within SQM. The jobholder will collaborate with all other members of the SQM team, all areas of Quality, Purchase, Logistics, Engineering and the company supplier base.

Scope of Job:
- Supplier Quality planning and part maturation.
- Part Quality planning and supplier process status reports.
- Project & Pilot hall support.
- Supplier liaison and control on and off site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Relevant Engineering qualification, HNC or higher. Associate membership of the IQA is desirable.
Previous experience required, knowledge of Advances Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP)
Computer literate with SAP, TEVON, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook.
Knowledge of Quality tools including use of statistical techniques & analysis (SPC & capability studies), 8D, Pareto, Kaizen, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA - design and process), Fault tree etc.

Product knowledge in automotive interior, exterior or electrical commodities is required. This should include experience with plastic, metal, composite materials and electrical/ mechanical components.
