The Company:
Is an Oil & Gas companies by offering leading drilling, formation evaluation, completion and production products and services

The Role:
Key responsibilities/accountabilities:
: Interface with Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and Procurement to ensure parts/suppliers
are qualified in a timely manner.
 Perform “due diligence” supplier audits for qualification and/or various business needs
 Identify & monitor “critical to quality” parameters for top suppliers in the Approved Suppliers

List:
 Lead risk assessment & create product Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan, with suppliers
 Analyse & respond to customer ( internal & external ) complaints ( Quality Notification,
Corrective & Preventive Action Request, Supplier Corrective Action Request ) as it pertains
to supplier conditions
 Develop & proactively initiate supplier process improvement projects to improve QUALITY,
DELIVERY & reduce process VARIATION.
 Lead & monitor supplier development activities
 Assist with the assessment and selection to qualify and approve potential suppliers
 Responsible for ensuring continual supplier performance evaluation
 Responsible for ensuring supplier improvement and development projects are undertaken
 Other special projects and ad-hoc duties as assigned.
 Must comply with all applicable BHI & local regulatory requirement in Health, Safety,
Environmental & Security

Essential qualifications/requirements:
 Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Management in a metal machining
environment, preferably in Oil & Gas, Automotive or Aerospace industries
 Hands on experience of undertaking:
 Root Cause Analysis
 Supplier Selection & Evaluation
 QMS Implementation & Maintenance
 Conducting QMS audits ( internal / external )
 Continual Improvement Processes / Projects
 Hands on experience in :
 First Article Inspections
 Production Part Approval Process
 Designated Quality Representative
 Must be fully familiar with the requirement of ISO9001 or API Spec.Q1 QMS requirement.
 Understanding of processes and industry standards ( e.g. API Spec. 5CT, NS-1, DS-1 etc. )
in relation to oil & gas industry
 Working knowledge of the following would be beneficial :
 NDT
 Welding / Brazing
 Heat Treating
 Metal Machining
 Specialized Coating / Plating
 Steel Processing ( Casting / Forging )
 Measurement System Analysis / Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility
 Knowledge of Six Sigma / DMAIC / Statistical Process Control / Production Part Approval
Process / Quality Clinic Process Chart, Lean Production etc.
 Good in Presentation skills, Report writing skills, Analytical and problem solving skills
 Ability to work under pressure, Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
(internal/external and remotely located)
 Ability to work with minimum supervision
 Ability to interpret engineering drawings including Geometry & Dimensional Tolerance (
G&DT )
 Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel, both internally and externally, both
verbally and in written communications
 Skills in auditing QMS and special processes
 Skills in the use of common inspection, testing and measuring equipment
 Skills in the use of MS Office
 Skills in using SAP would be beneficial
Preferred qualifications/requirements
 Degree qualified or equivalent, (degree in Mechanical Engineering would be beneficial)
 International Registration of Certified Auditor ( IRCA ) accredited Assessor/Lead Assessor
Qualification for Quality Management System ( QMS ) auditing
 Professional qualification in, 1 or more, of the below would be beneficial :
 Certified Quality Engineer ( CQE )
 Certified Welding Inspector ( CWI )
 Six Sigma Green Belt (GB) or Black Belt (BB)
 Non-Destructive Testing ( NDT ) Level II or III
