The Role:
The position is primarily responsible to plan, manage & conduct (where appropriate) on site supplier assessments for both TPI & Vendor qualification/approval activities across the sector when required.

The role will also be expected to lead and drive the deployment of global procurement & SQM strategies within Upstream, ensuring business requirements are fulfilled and value is optimized across multiple businesses.

The role is key in extracting the full value from Suppliers activity including optimising opportunities in HSSE, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and defect reduction across the supply base.

The role will ensure Supplier activities result in identifying supplier development opportunities, root causes of Supplier Defects/ CoPQ opportunities are identified and permanently eliminated.

Approved Vendor List & Supplier Pre-Qualification
 Minimize the risk and maximize value by pre-qualifying the right suppliers and contractors
 Supplier Development plans to ensure identified gaps are addressed and closed in a timely manner
 As required, lead international supplier audits and assessments including selection of audit team members from internal functions
 For each high level IM risk suppliers, develop and prepare an audit plan based on the results of the risk assessment process
 Manage the completion of supplier assessments with targeted suppliers including working with suppliers to complete self assessments, and completion of on site reviews
 Ensures appropriate contractor/ supplier verification and audit programs are established and prioritized in accordance with risk/ criticality assessment,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Mechanical/Materials Engineering Degree (or equivalent experience)
ISO Lead Auditor Qualified
Experience of manufacturing - particularly process control, measurement & calibration
Thorough understanding of Root Cause Analysis, Preventive action & Poke Yoke
Thorough understanding of “Cost of Poor Quality”

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Qualification
5 years oil and gas experience (Up stream), multi industry experience
Experience in welding, coatings & corrosion
Experienced in health and safety management system assessment
Experienced in delivering training materials to colleagues/suppliers
