The Company:
Our Client is an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 650,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in various offshore and onshore locations. They have ongoing exploration and production activities worldwide, and have over 50 years of experience turning marginal and challenging fields into commercial successes.

The Role:
My leading client is currently seeking a Supply Base Manager based in Angola working on a 28/ 28 day rotation - 7 days per week operations.

To overall manage and participate in planning, supervising and execution of supply base marine logistics activities & yard operations with the supply base team staff (Currently 4), to support offshore deepwater drilling operations.

1. Manage materials control of all incoming and outgoing MOA OCTG and materials inventory utilizing custom Software and/ or SAP.
2. Participate fully and be seen as a leader with respect to MOA safety initiatives including Incident Free - implement policies and practices on the base to achieve clients Incident Free objectives; HAZID program to be implemented, reporting and investigating of any incidents.
3. Manage vessel loading /offloading activities to meet drilling operations requirements.
4. Manage yard operations /utilization to meet drilling operations requirements utilizing latest API standards for the storage and handling of OCTG.
5. Maintain /develop & mentor national staff with hands on and formal training initiatives.
6. Manage CCU and lifting tackle certification and safety color code.
7. Supervise staff and contractors to support vessel and storage yard activities.
8. Liaise with Logistics Manager as required to meet operational requirements and corporate policies and procedures.
9. Attend weekly operations meetings at main office.
10. Manage and develop relationships with 3rd party drilling service providers within OSC to enhance services and overall operations.
11. Develop and maintain relationship with SONILS OSC management, operations superintendents and supervisors to enhance MOA base operations.
12. Develop future planning with respect to ongoing and upcoming operations in concert with Logistics Manager
13. Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Min 10 years experience with computerized material control system/ SAP/ SUN/ STAR, completely proficient with MS Office Suite of programs.
- Min 10 years supervisor level experience in offshore oilfield drilling operations support activities; operation of pipe yard, marine base supervisor; working with high spec PSV and AHTS
- Desirable to have acquired or be participating in professional logistics or business designation program (I.E. CILT UK).
- Fluent in English, fluent in Portuguese a definite asset
