The Company:
Our client is a leading Middle East based chemical manufacturing company with estimated current production of 10 million tonnes per annum and a global network of offices and distribution centres. To assist with the further growth of the company we are now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Analyst to be based in Qatar

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following key activity and responsibilities:

• Identify logistics areas for process improvement and cost savings to ensure expectations are met.
• Collaborate with associates to improve efficiency, productivity and processes.
• Responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing all shipments, including working with carriers and the 3rd party provider.
• Responsible for preparing statistical data for contract negotiations.
• Assists Supply Chain Director in budgeting and maintain cost analysis reports.
• Lead the analysis and provide statistical information on the tracking of product shipments, and inventory.
• Tracking all critical performance drivers of supply chain activities.
• Identifying proper warehouse locations to optimize cost and improvement of customer service.
• Plan and develop set of metrics to monitor and construct cost effective supply chain model and delivery of high quality of service to customers.
• Evaluate existing capabilities and establish new systems and processes for the tracking, reporting, and analysis of all traffic.
• Providing reports to management on market dynamics related to shipping industry.
• Identify process gaps, system failures, weaknesses and propose improvements.
• Assist in defining KPI data of Supply Chain Department and monitors effectiveness and recommends the improvements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore keen to receive application from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Degree educated in an engineering or business related discipline (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years supply chain and analysis experience in
• High level of understanding of logistics supply with emphasis on freight and 3rd party providers.
• Computer literate with good spoken and written English
