The Company:
Our major oil and gas client is seeking a Supply Chain Business Analyst for a one year opportunity in West Houston.

The Role:
Responsibilities:

• Assist Supply Chain Lead with following: gather inflation data, develop procurement and contracting strategies, build and maintain contract plans for projects, conduct supplier qualification processes, develop RFP's, participate in supplier clarification meetings, develop commercial evaluation model and participating in evaluation team, prepare bids, conduct bid openings, award recommendation notifications and commercial evaluation summary, prepare various reports for management, manage supplier performance via supplier reviews and performance improvement plans
• Work with Supplier Quality Management Team to amend the approved vendor list
• Record meeting minutes
• Communicate regularly with project leadership and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and build clear understanding of business requirements for third party goods and services
• Ensure application of a total cost of ownership view for all sourcing decisions
• Promote proper utilization of contractual terms and conditions and ensure legal department is involved when required
• Assist internal and external stakeholders with day to day requirements, such as invoicing and/or payment delays
Deliverables:
• Write purchase orders in SAP and draft work releases
• Act as a en expeditor for placed purchase orders
• Maintain contract record files and monitor contract compliance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, statistical analysis)
• Experienced in using Ariba OneSource for sourcing events and data gathering
• Experienced in SAP
• Prior experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management is required
• Experienced in negotiations, managing contracts, and analyzing performance data and gathering market intelligence
