The Role:
Responsible for Procurement & Subcontracting activities for projects. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the candidate will manage the SCM processes for the pre & post award subcontract duties including but not limited to:

•Executing SCM activities in line with the Company's policies & procedures
•Prepare the SCM Strategy & Procurement Plan in co-operation with the project team
•Prepare bidders lists, issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages for products and services in order to secure bids for required scope of work
•Managing and conducting the process of performing bid evaluations and prepare recommendation documentation for award and/or tender cost input
•Liaise with other disciplines, Quality Control, Health & Safety, , Engineering etc and ensure bids are evaluated in accordance with the SCM processes
•Negotiating the best possible contract, commercially and contractually
•Review and negotiate Supplier requested qualifications to the standard Terms and Conditions, interface with other groups, such as Legal, where required
•Ensure main contract flow downs and statutory requirements are met
•Coordinating with the Purchasing department on the progress of key Purchase Orders in order to update the Procurement Plan
•Organising the Kick off Meetings with Suppliers
•Post award management; maintain a good co-operation with Suppliers, ensuring schedule is met. Manage/follow-up against awarded commitments to ensure that obligations are met, along with negotiation and management of the change order process
•Proactively engage with Group Commodity Managers to support any Strategic pricing agreement opportunities
•Reporting weekly or according to project requirement, on progress and problems on the Awards
•Reviewing Suppliers invoices and executing a final statement of account
•Managing and conducting supplier feedback and performance assessments during the life cycle of the Subcontract or post completion
•Assist in pre-qualification of Suppliers
•Assist in maintaining the approved Supplier Database
•Attendance at relevant SCM Department and Project meetings
•Post award, maintain a good co-operation with suppliers, ensuring schedule is met
•Proactively engage with Category Managers to support any Strategic pricing agreement opportunities with Subcontractors
•Apply the expediting process to measure, control and report on supplier delivery, performance of equipment, material and documentation in terms of acceptable quality, effective cost and on-time, complete delivery
•Post award subcontract administration, along with negotiation and management of the change order process
•Assist in pre-qualification of suppliers & maintaining the approved vendor list

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or Business or Administration is essential although extensive experience may replace the requirement for higher education
- High degree of computer literacy (Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc) is essential
- Experience with SAP desirable
- Experience in Subcontracts Management within the Oil & Gas Industry (Subsea experience desirable but not essential)
- Good understanding of Contractual Law relevant to the Oil & Gas Industry is desirable
