The Company:
Our Client is a major petrochemical company in Qatar.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be tasked with the following key activity and responsibilities:

• The incumbent will have the overall responsibility to manage the operational activities of the Polymers Section related to Shipping and Transport
• Managing 3 Direct Hires in implementing and monitoring Department’s procedures to ensure smooth flow of activities
• Assist in the formulation of strategy, annual business plan, budgets and procedures of the supply chain department
• Lead the formulation of strategy, annual business plan / budget, policies and procedures of the Polymers Section to support organizational business strategy.
• Manage and lead the polymers department in meeting its set targets and objectives
• Create and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring for the entire Section and monitor their achievements on a regular basis.
• Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related units to achieve the Section’s goals / objectives.
• Participate in freight negotiations with shipping lines/land transport companies as required.
• Participate in negotiations with warehouse operators and maintain relationship.
• Monitor and control all costs related to supply chain activities to keep them at the lowest possible rates in line with the defined policy.
• Responsible for managing the risk of supply chain and distribution activities of Muntajat and its partners.
• Maintain and implement SOPs, Quality and HSE systems in the supply chain department.
• Manage documentation flow matches desired product flow to ensure no disruptions to logistics operations.
• Manage polymers Producers logistics and supply chain operational interfaces.
• Assist the Director – Supply Chain in implementing system of KPIs and measuring performance for the supply chain department for polymers.
• Assist in setting up new supply chains and long term procurement of logistics services.
• Responsible for the Supply Chain department budget and costs.
• Keep current with latest laws and regulatory requirements related to Polymers.
• Prepare reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
We are therefore looking to identify candidates with the following key skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Formal supply chain qualification, scientific or engineering degree - preferable
• Minimum of 10 years operational experience in polymer supply chain with large organization/s.
• Min. 5 years on management experience.
• Detailed working knowledge of end to end supply chain processes in polymer industry
• Knowledge of packaged goods a must – including shipping, land transport and warehousing operations
• Knowledge of SAP Supply Chain modules
• Employee Relations Management
