Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

The role is to ensure the timely availability of all parts to support the Engineering Change process. The successful candidate will be constantly in contact with the respective supplier to obtain current timing information, submission dates for samples and parts required for Production. This information is maintained within company systems to enable data to be shared across the business. The overall sample / parts availability status is required in order to present the position to the Project team.

Scope of the Role

The jobholder will liaise closely with the Logistics Module Representatives to achieve the objectives of the project. He/She will identify any known shortages and escalate problems to responsible persons for a speedy resolution. He/She will have direct contact with New Parts Stores, Physical Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Quality and Production to ensure visibility of supplies, routing of parts, adherence to the packaging process and improvements in the maturation of quality parts.

• Obtaining timing plans and sample delivery dates.
• Expediting samples to ensure Quality maturation and approval.
• Contact with suppliers on obtaining bulk parts.
• Arrange suitable transport for all samples and part deliveries.
• Planning material in SAP and issuing accurate schedules to Suppliers.
• Managing and controlling Engineering change (ECR / AEKO).
• Managing the run out of deleted parts.
• Managing the run in of new parts.
• Support of the Permit process.
• Computer literacy is a prerequisite for this role.
• Must be a good communicator, flexible and persistent
• SAP experience preferred

Experience & Qualifications

• A degree is necessary to understand the background.
• Computer literacy.
• Good communicator, flexible and persistent.
• Enjoys working in a team but willing to take the lead role when required and appropriate.
• German languaege skills would be an advantage.
• Experience of large manuafacturing operation.
