The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:

• This position ensures the development and delivery of the most efficient, effective and flexible supply chain solutions to deliver production requirements in line with production volumes. The role requires supplier development to defined operational delivery and production continuity.
• This position leads development and maintenance of the group's inbound supply chains from supplier nominations to material presentation line side and must conform to business/Group guidelines.
• This position requires the use of project management and solution innovations to support all product and business requirements within a cross functional team.


Development and implementation of Logistics strategies for Inbound and Outbound material supply within a specific module or component group.
• Project management – Design, Develop & Implementation
• Procurement of materials – raising orders & managing delivery
• Process implementation – Work with cross functional teams to deliver supply chain solutions
• Alignment to Business and Group guidelines – Design and maintain solution which support business guidelines

Supply Chain evaluation for logistics investment -
• Investment – Calculating container loops to support supply chain
• Planning– Develop and agree supply chain process for material delivery from supplier to point of fit
• Cost per Car – logistics calculations to support material nomination
• Revenue – Support the assessment and setting of logistics project revenue budgets and spend profile

Packaging Planning
• Evaluation of packaging concept – Agree optimum packaging solutions.
• Investment – Identify investment requirements
• Packaging specification - Approved packaging agreements within the group and suppliers

Logistic Process Validation
• Process adherence – Implement all process to agreed quality standards to support and deliver VCA, VDA 6.3 approval.
• Business/Group guide lines – Processes developed and delivered within guidelines
• Continuous Improvements – Maintain culture of continuous improvement to support financial targets set within business goals and FMK process.

Business measures – Key Goal, 2012 to 2018 targets
• Pulse – Support and develop improvement activities to ensure Colleague engagement in Pulse activities and business targets are achieved year on year
• Personal Development – Engage in personnel developments and engagement through MBO and other business tools e.g. Academy, Cohort and Basecamp programme.
• Strategy Planning – Align all planning activities to business targets and key goals


• Support budget evaluation and implement project spends against Logistics Investment budgets – New products, model years and Volume variants


• Demonstrate experience in delivering logistical solutions
• Experience in supply chain development
• Strong influencing and communication skills
• Ability to work within cross functional, Group and a wide global supplier base


• Knowledge of Supply Chain development and delivery:
- Just in Sequence solutions
- EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
- Packaging design and development
• High level of IT literacy (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access/Project)
• Knowledge of automotive global supply chains would be beneficial
• Graduates with a relevant degree and/ or work experience will also be considered
