The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
We are seeking a Support Engineer - Instrument/Electrical to take ownership of the electrical and instrument equipment, procedures related to plant area of responsibility, and to provide guidance to the Operations and Project team.

The key responsibilities are stated below:

• Contributing to Operations Instrument/Electrical Technical Authority
• Ensuring plant technical integrity is protected by managing equipment
• Ensuring the reliability of field instrument and electrical power systems
• Contributing to the review of electrical deliverables by EPC contractors
• Providing engineering support including ensuring compliance with standards, provision of technical advice and management of critical drawings
• Reviewing technical integrity deviations associated with electrical equipment
• Contributing to RBI, HAZOP, eHAZOP and SIL reviews
• Ensuring assigned investigations of failures or identified deficiencies in electrical systems are completed
• Contributing to the review of maintenance strategies, procedures and plans including Campaign Maintenance

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
It is important for the candidate to have the following qualification and experience;

• Experience in field instrumentation and electrical power systems within hydrocarbons onshore or offshore (must have experience with both)
• Intergraph SmartPlant Electrical (desirable), power system analysis (ETAP preferred), EMS (GE)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering. Eligible for IEAust membership and CPEng
• Experience in Oil & Gas plant Design and Operation
• Experience with offshore electromechanical equipment, power electronic systems, automatic controls, protection and measuring systems
• Experience with high voltage power distribution networks (to 33 kV)
• Experience with gas turbine and diesel driven generation systems
• Experience with High and Low Voltage switching operations
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance techniques
• Knowledge of PMS/PDCS/EMS
