The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
- Support Technician for Road Load Data who are part of the Product Analysis and Verification (PAV) department.
- The department has responsibility for the provision of real-time structural durability data which support Strength & Durability Attribute teams.
- Data supports Gateway requirements of both UNV and PCS V1.
- The department has its own range of measurement and test facilities which are used to verify and sign-off vehicle and system level targets.

Skills Required:
- Provide calibration support for core team activities utilising on site calibration equipment.
- Provide support to RLD engineers, for example monitoring data when conducting on-road data collections in the UK.
- Monitoring and controlling instrumentation status in terms of calibration, organisation and quantity.
- Contribute and lead where required to process improvement for calibration and transducer management.

Skills Preferred:
- Evidence of hands on problem solving approach.
- Ability to manage several work streams simultaneously.
- Ability to work within a large team and integrate quickly.
- MS software proficient.
- Willingness to learn RLD techniques and process.
- Experience in engineering environment.

Experience Required:
- Background in automotive or similar industry.
- Understanding of basic electrics and electronics.
- Knowledge of computer systems.
- Data manipulation and physical testing.
- Working to tight time lines and completion dates.

Experience Preferred:
- Experience of working within a precision environment dealing with calibration.

Education Required:
- ONC or Equivalent in an Engineering Discipline.
