The Company:
A leading international Oil & Gas operator

The Role:
Position on 5 days per week basis with possibility to work 6 days per week upon project needs (to be agreed and validated on site by CSR).
FAT / SIT activities will be conducted on day shift basis (6 am to 6 pm) but may be extended during night shift; then the successful candidate shall be adaptable and conduct supervision activities during night shift.


The successful candidate is responsible, within the project SURF team and under the SURF Company Site Representative’s supervision, for following-up, monitoring and supervising the FAT activities carried out by the SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors at the FLET-ILT fabrication site, ensuring that his discipline’s contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by the Contractor and/or Subcontractors.

In this respect, and to ascertain that the equipment/facilities are built as per the project requirements, the successful candidate verify and approve Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors’ FAT & Hydrotest preparation, procedures, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to performed the service with the required quality and safety level and to compete it in due time.

He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to the SURF Company Site Representative and provides support and assistance to the SURF Company Site team with regards to issues related to his discipline. He also liaise with the SURF Precommissioning Lead for specific FAT/SIT matters.
The successful candidate organises and participates to routine and random inspections and audits, assists to daily / regular FAT meetings related to his discipline with SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors, performs QA/QC and/or HSE visits and tours... and ensures an adequate reporting to the SURF Company Site Representative (areas of concerns, problems encountered in its discipline during fabrication by SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors). The service holder participates to the review and comments of SURF Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors’ Project Site documentation applicable in the perimeter of the relevant SURF Fabrication site (FAT/SIT/Hydrotest procedures, Test pack, ICAPs sheets, Test reports …) and ensures their full implementation by SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors.

ACTIVITIES

1. To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and HSSE rules and regulations.
2. To have knowledge of Company and Project technical referential and international standards related to his area of responsibility, taking knowledge from them for application to the Project.
To develop, as required, discipline specific instructions at Fabrication Site.
3. To ensure proper answer (in coordination with Company’s engineering team when appropriated) to CONTRACTOR technical Site Queries related to his discipline.
4. To ensure all along fabrication phase that the SURF Contractor is enforcing his contractual commitments, is implementing properly his Fabrication plan and objectives, and is performing safely his activities as per Project specifications, design and codes. As such, he shall:
- Review the relevant Contractor's and suppliers ITP's, FAT/SIT/Hydrotest procedures, Test Pack and Test report;
- Facilitate/Assist/Supervise CTR and Subcontractor in the integration of SPS Connectors and Caps onto FLETs & ILTs.
- Ensure that the works are closely inspected by the contractor’s QC and testing Lead;
- Review and ensure that all Subcontractor Test equipment certificates are up to date
- Review and approve all Test pack before any test.
- Review and approve Test Reports upon inspection points defined, and ensure that Contractor/Subcontractors is filling those test report on a regular basis.
- Challenge Contractor and Subcontractor on QA/QC performance and Inspection activities, and to perform routine and random inspections on a daily basis in this regard;
- Stop & report immediately to SURF Company Site Representative any anomaly or nonconformity;
- Interface with relevant SURF CPY team and SURF Contractor’s QA/QC, Testing or HSE site authority on QA/QC, Testing or HSE issues. And ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Attend, when requested, the various Fabrication / Testing / FAT / SIT meetings,
- Participate to Fabrication, HSE or QAQC specific audits or visits;
- Provide regular inspection & activity reports.
5. In general:
- To assist the SURF Company Site Representative as and when required;
- To provide technical support and assistance to Company personnel, and also to
Contractor' and Suppliers' personnel if needed;
- To analyze / resolve discipline issues and problems encountered by Company personnel;
- To implement discipline methods for the supervision of the day to day activities;
- To enforce decisions/directions taken at SURF Management level and as directed by SURF Company Site Representative.
6. To report to the SURF Company Site Representative wrt to discipline activities, in particular when deviations to works are detected.

The successful candidate may be requested to travel to other SURF Fabrication Yards (Buoyancy tank, LRA/URA, Spools), in order to assist CPY site teams regarding FAT/SIT activities.
The successful candidate is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): min 10 years Experience in Onshore & Offshore FAT & Precommissioning activities.
Experience in similar position (years): mini 7 in similar role.
Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent.
Languages: English mandatory.
Experience working directly for an Oil & Gas operating company
