The Company:
A Major Operator

The Role:
Part of the SURF team, for following-up, monitoring and supervising Quality Control (QC) Inspection activities carried out by SURF Contractor on Welded Line pipe purchase order (includes line pipe fabrication, coating activities)
The service holder organises and participates in routine and random inspections / meetings / tests, etc., assists to daily / regular QC Inspection meetings with Contractor site team, performs QC visits and tours and ensures an adequate reporting (areas of concerns, problems encountered in the implementation of the QC Inspection Plan by the Contractor, progress) to the QA/QC Leader.
The service holder work in close cooperation within the package with Lead engineer, procurement leader & specialists. The service holder reports to the QA/QC Leader.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.
Special focus shall be pay to Weld seam NDT and flux management.
Participate to sites meetings and inspection matters;
Monitor and control the implementation on site of the approved Quality and Quality Control plans, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans;
Monitor the relevant Pipe fabrication & coating, Welding & AUT Qualification processes with support of project specialist, and ensure their satisfactory implementation and follow-up;
Ensure all production QC records are issued in timely manner and endorsed properly by Contractor QC site team in timely manner.
Ensure that the works are closely inspected by the Contractor’s QC inspection team (e.g. RT, UT, MPI, PMI, etc.) in accordance with inspection points defined in ITP/QCP;
Review and ensure that all operators certification files are up to date, including documentation;
Challenge Contractor and suppliers on overall quality performance and inspection activities, and to perform routine and random inspections on a daily basis in this regard;
Monitor the work deficiencies (repair rate in particular), and ensure the implementation of the necessary corrective actions;
Monitor and ensure final documentation progress in timely manner;
Follow up on the implementation of agreed action plans, or other mitigation plan issued;
Stop & report immediately to the SURF QA/QC Leader any anomaly or non-conformity;
Participate to Quality specific audits or visits and provide regular QC inspection & activity reports.
Ensure the follow-up of tracking of anomalies and non conformities performed by the Contractor.
Ensure all non conformities/deviation are correctly documented and raised in due time.
Issue proposed IRC to QA QC leader for all deviations/non conformities not documented.
To monitor & evaluate Contractor QC team performance and coverage;
To monitor chase all QC issues and problems encountered during this purchase order up to satisfactory closure;
To monitor progress vs. schedule, report any possible impact/slippage on schedule

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): min 10 years of QC Inspection experience
Certification required: Level II Xray & UT.
Certification shall be done by external recognize Third party Experience in similar position (years)
Mini 5 years in similar role
Languages: English mandatory – Portuguese is a plus
