Our client is an international oil & gas operator

The Role:
The service holder is in charge, within the SURF team and under the responsibility of the Engineering and Procurement Leader, of all the activities related to the engineering (detailed), procurement, construction, installation, and inspection of SURF structures, and represents the Company technical authority for the SURF Structure discipline. The service holder organises, supervises, controls and coordinates the works relative to the discipline as well as works and studies performed by the SURF Contractor whom he is the contact point. He/she is responsible for monitoring the engineering of the discipline and subjects he/she is in charge of.
The service holder will ensure, during detailed engineering, procurement and construction phases, that all deliverables and documents (both internal and external) related to the disciplines and subjects he/she is in charge of are timely issued and fitted for purpose. He/she shall ensure compliance of Contractors deliverables and documents with Company HSSEQ requirements and specifications, with applicable codes and standards and best engineering practices, and with Project specifications wrt the discipline. He/she will review deviations to Company specifications or deviations requests/technical queries.
The service holder shall also ensure that all discipline-related engineering interfaces with other concerned disciplines/packages are dully dealt with and managed and shall take part to their management. He/she will timely and actively liaise with other specialists of the SURF team in order to ensure consistency of the works.
The service holder will also participate in the follow-up of the SURF procurement and construction on yard for the disciplines and subjects he/she is in charge of. He/she will remain, with regards to the disciplines and subjects he/she is in charge of, the correspondent for engineering, procurement and construction occurring problems, and for any advice to be given or technical deviation request to be analysed and answered.
The service holder reports to the SURF Engineering and Procurement Leader.
The service holder will assist the Engineering and Procurement Leader in the relationship with the Contractor for the disciplines and subjects he/she is in charge of.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSSE rules within his area of responsibility.

ACTIVITIES:
1. To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, to respect the Project HSSE requirements and to ensure implementation of HSSE rules.
2. To ensure that HSSEQ issues and requirements are correctly handled and met in all the disciplines-related technical documents and construction activities.
3. To be informed of discipline-related Company Rules & Specifications (CR’s / GS’s), international norms and standards, taking knowledge from them to application to the Project.
4. To identify, implement and manage all necessary engineering studies related to the discipline
5. To maintain up to date all the necessary technical documentation related to the discipline (General Specifications / Project Specifications).
6. To supervise and control the detailed engineering by timely reviewing / validating the discipline-related documentation issued by Contractor(s) (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests...), in compliance with Project specifications and procedures, CMPY General Specifications and international norms and standards, with the objective to ensure respect of Schedule, Costs, Quality and Safety.
Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable / unjustified design choices, constructability issues...
Ensures daily liaison with Contractor(s) with regards to discipline-related matters.
Participates to weekly and/or monthly coordination meetings with Contractor as appropriate.
Ensures that contractual scope of work is duly and timely performed by Contractor(s).
Ensures follow-up / review / validation of progress performed by Contractor(s) wrt his discipline and analyses/reports drifts that could occur and propose remedial solution.
7. To interface actively with other discipline engineers and other package engineers as necessary on all engineering, procurement, constructability, operability and maintainability matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work.
8. To liaise with the other Package Engineers for the management of interfaces related to the discipline.
9. To define the qualification and test programmes, to participate in the installation and tests, to analyse results, deciding on any changes or complement in the program.
10. To participate to project reviews as requested by CMPY referential (HAZOP, HAZID, SPOT, ODR, PTR...) and prepare or participate in Safety / Technical Audits for his discipline.
11. To assist Company Representatives at fabrication sites and participate to the resolution of any related-discipline problem occurring during the Execution Phase, to review and give recommendation on technical deviation requests and to keep updated the documentation related to his discipline.
12. To ensure that safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project
13. To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the SURF Engineering and Procurement Leader (progress, concerns), and, as a general manner, anticipates problems, optimizes, improves, offers solutions with regards to his discipline.
14. To ensure confidentiality of all the disciplines-related documentation produced (whatever its support).
15. To gather, as requested, ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to the SURF Engineering and Procurement Leader and other CMPY entities as required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Professional Experience (years): 10-15
Experience in similar position:
- Design experience for deepwater hybrid riser structures (riser tower, SHR-single hybrid riser- / STTR-Single Top Tensioned Riser- / SLOR-single line offset riser- / FSHR-free standing hybrid riser-) is compulsory
- Familiar with hybrid riser design process, and interfaces between structure design and global analyses
- Familiar with structural fabrication process

Good understanding of the following codes & standards : API 2U, API 2V, API RP 2A, AISC, DNV RP C203, DNV OS H101, DNV OS H102, DNV OS H205, DNV OS H206
Level / Diploma: Engineer. Degree in Structures and/or Civil & Building Engineering
Languages: English mandatory
