The Role:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Operations Lead is responsible for providing all pre-operations support and handover tasks of capping stack, subsea dispersant system and subsea manifolds/umbilicals/risers/flowlines and other related elements of Client's Expanded System to the existing Client Operations resources. The SURF Operations Lead is also responsible for supporting acceptance testing of all components and Subsea systems prior to handover.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Project Management
 Support development of “Project” deliverables related to services and assets:
o Establish O&M reliability strategy. Ensure all processes and procedures are developed and in place for all required operations. Develop handover plans for all documentation and coordinate with Training team
o Work with Training team to convert plans and procedures into permanent Company operations manuals and procedures prior to system handover
o Support development of spares requirements
o Work with project team to develop specific requirements for on-going maintenance
o Track progress on all related project deliverables
o Ensure all deliverables comply with Company standards and are entered into Document Management System (DMS)
 Identify all functional tests and inspections required by regulatory agencies
 Provide input to the Project team on the Safety and operability of the SURF aspects of the project.
 Assure integration of the SURF system with the other EPC systems of the project.
 Participate in all SURF/Subsea-related project engineering, construction, and risk assessments, including HAZOPs. Ensure risks register items with operational mitigations are tracked and closed prior to handover and integration of equipment into Companiy's existing response assets
 Develop commissioning and start-up plans and be the onsight subject matter expert during the initial system start-up test prior to handover.
Expanded System Hand-Over
 Support sourcing of Operations personnel to accept new systems
 Develop any new procedures or revisions to existing procedures as needed to incorporate Expanded System equipment into Company
Develop integration, handover and storage plans. Coordinate handover with Maintenance and SURF/Subsea teams
 Identify new contractual services and long-term support needed for the expanded system. Work with procurement resources in Operations team to ensure those contracts are in force at handover
 Work closely with Operations staff to ensure they are prepared to accept and utilize the Expanded System. Preparation may include equipment, documentation, functional skills needed to deploy and operate the new equipment and coordination of on-going maintenance
 Contribute to aspects of annual operations plan and budget to be integrated into the existing asset base
 Develop logistics plans. Work with procurement resources to establish required contracts for Land/Shorebase/Air/Sea and related lifting plans
 Participate as required in Incident Management Team (IMT) support and training. Fill a role on the Incident Management Team (IMT) and participate in all IMT trainings and drills
 Participation in SURF/Subsea-related risk assessments and related HAZOPs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
 Strong SURF/Subsea operational experience. Prior experience in a senior SURF/Subsea Operations role for 8+ years. Deepwater region experience is preferred
 Operations with experience with subsea equipment operations
 Previous experience in managing SURF/Subsea construction, test and handover programs
 Experience with Safety Management Systems, particularly API RP 75
 Understanding of GoM regulatory environment
 Critical skills include personnel management, budget and resource tracking, operational readiness and demonstrated success in managing project and program timelines
 Excellent people skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
 Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment
 Flexible and able to multi-tack; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
