Job Title: Surface Facilities Manager
Job Location: Brisbane
Rate/Salary: Negotiable
Duration: Initial 3 month term
Residency: AU

The Company:
An Australian energy leader for over 50 years, Our Client is one of the country’s leading gas producers, supplying Australian and Asian customers.

The Role:
The Surface Facilities Manager will be responsible for the leadership of the conceptual development activities for surface facilities
Ensure delivery of design and engineering studies for surface facilities
Ensure that Facilities teams are effective by anticipating workload and meeting quality required.
To guide and direct technical resources in the Concept Phase surface facilities
Identify and promote new technologies in new domains and to reduce costs.

Manage the concept development surface facilities studies.
Ensure delivery of high quality design concepts in accordance with Regulatory requirements
Encourage effective networking across surface facilities, subsurface, drilling, environmental, project governance, operations, supply, commercial and economics teams
Oversee the steering of field development from the surface facilities aspect (plants, surface infrastructure).
Conduct technical, safety, HAZOP and risk reviews and assessments as required to deliver a high quality concept design
Manage concept development surface facilities project cost controls, budget estimating, schedules, documentation, risk management for upstream opportunities.

Build the Surface Facilities teams; define the organisation, methods, schedule and budget.
Set and communicate the direction, vision and role accountabilities to ensure the organisation is aligned to the vision. Drive teams to achieve results
Support, develop and coach staff to optimise potential of the team. Provide performance feedback, coaching and mentoring and ensure team development to optimise performance and commitment of leaders and employees.
Conduct annual interviews and give approval on results on the basis of the objectives set
Improve methodologies and tools. Drive process improvements or transform team approaches to optimise team performance and deliverables.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
RPEQ membership required
Extensive experience leading Facilities on major Engineering Projects
Minimum 15 year experience in Oil and Gas Industry
