The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities of this contract position will be to work as part of the onshore Procurement team in Perth with specific responsibilities for monitoring the EPCm contractor’s mitigation and management of the following key areas across all project sites, offices and locations:
• Surplus equipment/materials management
• Surplus equipment/materials and Scrap disposal
• Expediting Coordination
•Allocated Equipment Packages within surplus management • Constantly monitors the EPCm’s Materials Management Organizational Capability (People, Process/Procedure & Systems) to ensure it is adequate to prevent and properly manage surplus and scrap materials.
• Identifies gaps and opportunities in the surplus management and preservation process and works with EPCm to deploy or enhance existing processes to properly plan for, manage and utilize surplus materials in the most cost effective and efficient manner and consistent with the Project procedures.
• Monitors and validates the quality, reliability and visibility of the EPCm contractor’s material management systems in relation to surplus materials as well as the people resources deployed in the field to exercise due care and control.
• Interfaces with the Fabrication teams
• Works with EPCm counterparts at all project sites to identify, expedite and finalise the close out of OS&Ds in a timely fashion.
• Provides visibility on status to business management via reports and updates.
• Identifies process improvements for efficient close out of OS&Ds.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
This position requires extensive knowledge of major capital construction projects – preferably in the resources sector.
• Also important are a broad knowledge of capital equipment manufacturers and their products and a strong attention to detail when completing documentation, following processes and procedures and tracking of multiple items in various locations.
• Good stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive attitude to problem solving are required for this role.
• The role is predominantly office based but may require short business trips to project sites in Asia from time to time
