Job Title: Sustainability Attributes Project Manager - 20112

The Company:
We are currently looking for a Sustainability Attributes Project Manager for one of our automotive clients in the Midlands.

The Role:
Sustainability attributes engineer/manager focusing on weight and environmental management deliverables within future programmes. Successful candidate will be responsible for target setting, completion of project milestone deliverables, presenting and reporting project status to group director level and negotiating cross functional trades between cost, weight, environmental and vehicle level attributes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Project management & leadership skills, with a clear focus on data management driving cross functional delivery of project requirements. Strong communication & networking skills, able to drive results and demonstrable technical and engineering design competency. Fully IT literate; excel and other MS office tools.

Experience of component & system weight management & certification, whole vehicle environmental requirements and if possible an understanding of vehicle systems electrical architecture and energy requirements. Experience of project management roles within an engineering environment.

Mechanical engineering, environmental engineering degree or significant experience in an engineering related discipline.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
A clear understanding of the legal requirements which drive the auto industry.

Moment of inertia calculation, design for the environment, Life Cycle Assessment & quality engineering. Experience of working to stretching targets, capable of working and making decisions under pressure & the confidence to present data to seniors.
