The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Corporate Environmental and Social Performance Team and is Head of Discipline for the Group

Responsibilities:

Responsible for setting group-level environmental and social performance policy, standards and guidelines necessary for the management of environmental and community risks and mitigating impacts of our operations.
· Determine and roll out performance criteria to operations to report performance, drive improvement and meet external requirements
· Communicate the Company’s environmental and social performance to external stakeholders.
· Provide tools to meet group-level requirements for environmental and social performance management that can be utilised across our business
· Liaise with partners, government agencies, NGOs and multilaterals, and external financing institutions
· Engage with industry peers and communicate industry best practices and learning across the group.

Skills:

Extensive experience of field and corporate sustainability practices preferably in Oil/Gas and other extractives.
· Evidence of pragmatic delivery of standards
· Familiar with industry best practice and recognised sustainability finance standards – IFC, Equator etc
· Familiar with Crisis Management
· Knowledgeable of Environmental & Social Impact Assessments and Management Plans
· Links into OGP, IPIECA, and other relevant organisations
· Connections with sustainability multilaterals and NGOs
· Demonstratable knowledge of key emerging issues in sustainability
