Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Main Purpose of the Role

The primary task of the switchboard operator is to answer and correctly route calls from internal and external sources. A professional and efficient telephone manner is necessary to appropriately reflect the image of the company and its brand values.
In addition, there are tasks associated to handset administration, telephone directory administration and assisting users with general telephony questions.
This is a part time contract position, and is likely to be circa 15 hours per week. Occasional holiday and absence cover may be required.

Scope of the Role

- Day to day operation of the site switchboard.
- Ensuring telephone faults are efficiently reported and controlled.
- Answering incoming calls to the main switchboard.
- Dealing with queries and problems in relation to the switchboard service.
- Ensuring that the switchboard service levels are met.

Skills & Experience

- Excellent Communication skills and proven ability to use various channels of communication (telephone and email etc.)
- Basic computer skills.
- A professional and efficient telephone manner and the ability to deal with all of the switchboards potential customers, representing the client and their values appropriately.
- Experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Former experience of switchboard operations is advantageous.
