The Role:
This position will be based onshore in Aberdeen, will be working on a 2/3 rotation and will include shift and overtime allowance.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Monitors, controls and interprets information provided on the System pipeline and facilities by utilising the Process Information (PI) screens and programs. The System is the oil evacuation route from a number of North Sea Installations to Sullom Voe Terminal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Co-ordinates pigging of complete oil system.
-Monitors pipeline for leaks and investigates system imbalances.
-Ensures fluids entering pipeline are on spec and manages temporary pipeline deviations.
-Issues and updates gas nominations on behalf of the platforms.
-Controls Emergency Shutdown Valves opening and closure.
-ATW (Authorisation to Work) for pipelines, subsea and platforms.
-Implements procedures covering emergency blowdown for interfield lines.
-Provides morning reports from platform CRO handovers.
-Processes and implements downstream restrictions.
-Monitors hardware offshore and onshore.
-Monitors PEL (Production Emergency Line) for offshore/onshore assets.
-Interrogates PI based screens for monitoring platform status and critical pipeline entry conditions (dewpoint, flow, H2S etc).
-Emergency Response first point of contact for offshore and provides initial reactions.
-Provides assistance to Onshore Support.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Degree qualified or significant operational experience in oil and gas industry
-Control Room Operator experience
-HSSE-related experience in oil and gas or similar industry
-Good communication, co-ordination and facilitation skills
-Firsthand knowledge and experience of the UK oil and gas industry
-Working knowledge of Emergency Response roles
-Oil & gas experience in an operational role
-Knowledge of working within HSSE environment
-Knowledge of PI System real time monitoring system
-Ability to work a 5 shift pattern that includes lone working on nightshift and weekends
-IT literate: Applicable database/s, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to intermediate level
-Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
-Excellent planning and organisational skills
-Ability to be proactive, pragmatic and deliver results
-Evidence of creative thinking with the ability to introduce new concepts and ideas
