The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Systems Project Manager
Managing a number of complex projects delivering business led projects, re-engineering processes and enabling Systems for Retailers Project Planning:
• Define the scope of the projects in collaboration with senior management
• Assist with writing business case and benefit management
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
• Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
• Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion Project staffing
• In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activities
• Manage project staff volunteers according to the established policies and practices of the organization Project Implementation
• Execute the project according to the project plan
• Work with project vendors, ensuring vendors work in line with client requirements
• Evaluate SOW’s
• Document project activities, using normal Prince2 principles
• Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
• Develop communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
• Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
• Lead process workshops
• Lead process re-engineering with stakeholders, capturing AS-IS, Gap Analysis, and new processes
• Project Governance
• Undertake Risk and Issue Management and ensure mitigation is in place
• Understand dependencies
• Run Project governance meetings, developing the materials to be discussed
• Monitor all budgeted project expenditures
• Manage project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
• Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
• Develop value realisation.
• Job role includes Definition and mobilisation of all work-streams in the programme, co-ordination, drive and delivery of all aspects of the business programme within the agreed timelines

Essential Experience & Qualifications:
3 Key Skills:
1) Proven track record of delivering Project Management activities in accordance with Prince 2 / ITIL principles, and knowledge of client IT governance an advantage
2) Good interpersonal skills and Business Behaviours, in particular experienced in leading cross-functional teams
3) Good problem solving skills, and ability to appraise different solutions to support optimal business requirements

• Understanding of Prince2 / ITIL processes (MUST)
• Good planning and tracking skills (MUST) Good MS Project skills
• Understanding of client IT Governance (advantage)
• Good interpersonal skills Good Project Management skills
• Able to Identify, understand and facilitate the appraisal of different delivery options to best suit the business requirements.
• Lead business project work-streams through the resolution.
• Lead regular project team meetings and deliver key business documents to support the timely progress of projects Work with 3rd party vendors and internal IT stakeholders

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
Working within the business, ability to liaise with IT and ensure that the IT project team deliver in line with the business requirements.
Experience of change control would be an advantage
