The Company:
Our client is one of Australia's largest exploration and production companies and a key energy provider in both the domestic and international marketplace.

The Role:
As a Compliance Lead you will be responsible for the implementation of processes established for the LNG business unit to identify, monitor, assess, record and manage compliance obligations in accordance with the clients compliance directive.

You will provide the second line of assurance defence to LNG Business Areas through the development of controls and the implementation of frameworks and management systems.

Your key accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
- Allocating resources to effectively evolve, maintain and improve the LNG business unit's compliance program;
- Ensuring controls/obligations that manage compliance are operating effectively to prevent and proactively detect non-compliance in LNG Business Areas;
- Supporting the Group Manager to actively promote Compliance expectations throughout the LNG business unit and strategically influence the compliance culture of the LNG Business Unit; and
- Consistently contribute as a key leader within the Business Integrity function to the overall journey of evolution of risk management, assurance & compliance across the LNG business.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will have:
Knowledge of the Petroleum and Gas act.
Be able to demonstrate that you have effectively set up a compliance framework
Experience in compliance, risk management and risk systems as well as solid exposure to working within a regulated environment.
Familiar with government bodies and their consultation/decision making processes plus possess a strong working knowledge of compliance processes within major corporations.
An understanding of the regulatory environment specific to the energy industry, including some familiarity with related regulatory arrangements and structures is preferred.
The ability to grasp complex regulatory issues as well as the skill to understand debate from various ideological perspectives, and to identify emerging risks and opportunities for the organisation.
