Our client is one of the world’s premier integrated LNG enterprises and has an enviable reputation for being a safe and reliable supplier of LNG that has transformed a regional resource into a key component of the global energy mix.

The Role:
This position will originally be base in Malaysia and later Qatar.

Our client is seeking a Systems Completion Engineer to Develop the offshore and onshore Systems Completion and Startup planning processes to ensure systems are fully commissioned and ready to operate per Systems Completions requirements.

Responsibilities will include;

• Lead development of Systems Completion and SIMOPS related strategies and plans for the Project.
• Participate and provide commissioning input, review and guidance to Project Safety and Operability Reviews.
• Provide support to Construction to ensure safe execution of all SIMOPS and project commissioning related work scope areas.
• Provide guidance and act as a resource to the Engineering, Construction and Operations Teams pertinent to Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, and Hand Over/ Systems Acceptance issues.
• Function as a single point of interface coordinating with Startup and Operations Teams to ensure alignment and integration of commissioning and startup activities.
• Ensure that interfaces between onshore and offshore in the area of Systems Completion are defined and managed. Monitor Systems Completion progress to ensure progress is aligned with integrated schedule.
• Supports risk management activities such as Design Risk Assessment and HAZOP.
• Monitor contractor’s performance and provide advice as necessary to make certain company’s design goals, design philosophy and specifications are achieved.
• Ensures contractor’s design documents and other submittals submittals are reviewed and approved per company contract requirements.
• Leads planning, preparation and execution of facilities performance tests.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in technical field of study (Engineering preferred)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Plant/system mechanical completion and commissioning experience is mandatory
• Knowledge and experience with construction completion softwares such as WINPCS.
• Fifteen (15) years specific involvement in engineering and design in a project environment including direct “hands on” experience in plant/system startup is required. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.
• International experience, especially in Qatar or the Middle East, is preferred.
