The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The System Engineer for SCS Functions team will be required to: Liaise with function engineers and lead engineers to ensure: Necessary specifications are created and tracked at a programme level o All published specifications are robust. Understand the programme requirements for timing of specifications Liaise with function engineers to ensure specifications are updated Exchange specifications and system level requirement within JLR and to the Suppliers. Communicate with supplier to ensure reviewed specifications are returned on time, with appropriate review information Organise reviews of returned specifications Track completeness of agreement and update lead engineers Publish SCS Function specifications as formal JLR standards Work with the software suppliers to ensure that their systems meet Jaguar Land Rover requirements. Support / Train Doors users o Assist other users with enquiries about Doors and requirements process o Ensure DOORS documentation meet quality standards Promote improvements to Doors process o Understand the benefits and needs of the requirements process o Look for opportunities where requirements storage can support SCS processes o Define and implement improvements to SCS requirements storage and management "

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience using DOORS Requirements Management Tool A mechanical or automotive engineer with post graduate experience in systems engineering may be appropriate.
DOORS Requirements Management. Knowledge of Control systems and Systems Engineering. Excellent team-working, organization, communication & networking skills. Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision. Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure and beyond normal working hours when required.
