The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
This role is based within the Comfort Controls Vision Systems team in Electrical Engineering. The Vision Systems Team develops and delivers driver assistance systems and features based on video technologies such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic High Beam control, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Rear View, Junction View, Cross Traffic Alert, 360 degree Plan View. This engineering position will own the following engineering tasks and deliverables Definition and maintenance of the commodity development plans (WBS definition and planning) with the suppliers, system engineers and interfacing commodity project engineers ¿ Interfacing with the program Module Leaders ensuring that the engineers/suppliers deliverables are consistent with the vehicle milestones Supervise component integration into the vehicle (Mechanical and Electrical integration) Supervise the component FMEAs and Quality reviews ¿ Supervising the supplier development and testing according to the JLR standards. Manage the introduction and release of parts in the JLR system (WERs, PACNs management) Supervise the introduction of the component manufacturing procedures in the JLR Manufactoring process Supervise the system integration, system testing, assessessment of the performance and functionality vs specifications. Continuously improving the accuracy and coverage of the project management methods. Issue identification, investigation and escalation.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Proven skills in leading engineering activities in the automotive sector (OEM or Tier1). Proven skills in the integration of complex automotive components (mechanical and electrical integration) Knowledge of risk management and risk mitigation To be conversant with Project Management methods and familiar with tools such as Microsoft Project Understanding of Quality methods (6 Sigma), Failure Mode Avoidance and robustness. Good communication, interpersonal skills, self confidence and a passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high pressure environment, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. BEng/MSc on Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering Experience in leading engineering activities in the automotive sector (OEM or Tier1). ¿ Experience in the integration of complex automotive components (mechanical and electrical integration)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of Jaguar/Landrover processes and methods (e.g. PCS, WERS, GRADE, AIMS, APQP,...) ¿ Ideally experienced in the development of ADAS systems.
