The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
"Integration Lead Engineer works on design of compatible and integrated systems, monitors the proceeding of lab cars, generation of software bundle to be used at builds, supporting the EOL process and car configuration The successful candidate will: ¿ Represent the Electrical Integration team and its responsibilities for Jaguar and Land Rover programmes. Confirm Electrical System changes and develop plans to ensure features are delivered for and ESO meets Be based at Gaydon and support activities at all manufacturing sites. Supervise on compatibility reviews to confirm system compatibility. ¿Monitor and manage AIMs and eFDVs/RMDV data for integration (5A). Progress all 5A aims to resolution. Collate data and produce integration slides for project and CPE/CFE reviews Manage any functional integration issues to a resolution. Ensure functional integration plan and software timing plans are developed and maintained. Ensure software is delivered on time, tested and released for vehicle use in a controlled manner. Ensure Car Configuration change request are managed and implemented robustly. ¿ Plan and ensure lab cars are built to enable systems to be tested and signed off prior to build and software bundles fit for release. Plan and ensure software download is tested on vehicles and / or Labcars prior to build. Liaise with Vcats team to ensure successful software download at manufacturing sites, including car configuration files. ¿ Liaise with Project Teams to support Vehicle Builds and provide Vehicle Build Readiness status. Support build activities at relevant site. Support FEU vehicle fleet ensuring software sign off process is followed. Support Electrical launch team as required. Report on FEU and Launch issues involving EE integration."
Skills Required:

"Candidates shall be educated to degree level in an appropriate discipline, and be able to demonstrate an in depth understanding of vehicle communication networks, electrical system engineering and integration and fault diagnosis. They shall have an understanding of hardware and software design and electrical integration concepts such as diagnostics and SWDL. They shall have excellent negotiation and communications skills, ability to build relationships with suppliers, project management and liaise with employees at all levels, be self motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimal supervision. Essential experience includes design and integration of complex functions spanning multiple ECUs, the analysis and debugging of system related faults, CAN & LIN network design and validation, and the use of CAN, LIN, MOST and FlexRay development tools, software download and Vcats, working in a manufacturing environment. "

At least 5 years into automotive Electrical Engineering or 10 years in other SW Integration businesses

Education Required:
