The Role:
The Systems Engineer will manage multiple EPCI contractors’ workscopes and provide technical and engineering advice in relation to systems engineering for the Client's project.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the following major contracts and activities:
Detailed Engineering for:
•Project Topside EPCI (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract, – detailed design, construction and commissioning
•Project Topsides (Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Installation) contract, basic engineering, detailed design, construction and commissioning

Act as the focal point for the technical / engineering Systems activities
•Attendance at project meetings,
•Liaise with the Engineering Manager on a day to day basis providing feedback on contractors engineering performance,
•Review/Approve Contractors design specifications and drawings,
•Identify outstanding design issue through the Engineering Manager,
•Assist Engineering Manager with technical responses to Contractors technical queries
•Assist Engineering manager if SOR requires technical change,
•Ensure the overall consistency of the architecture.
•Review and attend the qualification, SIT and FAT of the main systems equipment when required,
•Assist with the raising of pre commissioning and commissioning procedures,
•Contribute Systems technical knowledge to the operational procedures,
•Review of Systems related documentation.
•Liaise with Head Office and local Technical Authorities on system engineering topics and issues

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
•Coordinate and control all Systems Engineering activities within the project scope and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with Company procedures, recommendations and statutory requirements,
•Maintain highly effective communications links with the project team members, Company contacts and key Contractors representative,
•Provide the corresponding Engineering services and technical expertise for the project activities,
•Control the technical aspects and performance of the main projects Contractors Design

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Knowledge of the concerned engineering disciplines:-
oInstrumentation
oTopsides
oControls
oHIPs (High Integrity Protective Systems)

•Distributed control systems
•Degree qualified engineer
•Significant Systems Engineering experience (raising/reviewing procedures, specifications, technical reports)
•Considerable industrial experience overall with successful experience as a Systems Engineer
•Member of a Professional Body
